Students studying Spanish idioms created two-sided laser cut cork coasters to demonstrate their grasp of the concept and language through a creative and expressive medium.

Cork coaster blanks
One side features the Spanish idiom phrase, and the other features an illustration of the phrase’s meaning. Students created designs using a graphic design platform such as Vectr.com, or Google Slides, and processed them through the laser cutting workflow in their Makerspace to physicalize their designs. Cork is an eco-friendly material that can be used to create puzzles, boxes, games, custom cork boards, and more.
